Built on Sound Science

There’s no shortage of meal replacements, greens powders, superfood supplements, and protein powders designed for weight loss, energy, and mental clarity.

But many of these products either don’t fill you up, contain only trace amounts of the superfoods they advertise, are loaded with sugar, or use poor quality ingredients.

We’re ready for better.

By focusing on optimizing more foundational aspects of health, Ample was designed to set you up for success that stands the scrutiny of even the most nutritionally-educated consumers.

Here’s what we focus on:

  • Proper hormonal response:
Avoiding frequent insulin spikes and leptin resistance can lead to weight gain, diabetes, energy crashes, and prevent us from feeling full.

  • Good for your gut:
A healthy gut microbiome improves our immune system, hormones, brain function, and even gene expression.

  • Controlling inflammation and oxidation:
Chronic inflammation and free radical damage are a major cause of chronic diseases like diabetes, and brain fog.

Ample feeds the “good” bacteria with slow-digesting fiber, prebiotics, and probiotics, while starving the “bad” bacteria of sugar and low quality, overly-processed nutrients, while containing ingredients that naturally boost antioxidants to fight free radicals.

The end result is a no-BS convenient meal that keeps you full and in fat-burning mode, while supporting your energy, mental clarity, and digestion.

“What Ample has done is come in and say we can have both whole-foods and complete nutrition in one product. You can get that time and productivity benefit with a traditional whole foods approach.”
— Dr. Chris Masterjohn, PhD, Nutritional Sciences

Natural Ingredients

Our blend of premium fats provides a mix of mono, poly, and saturated fats that include MCTs— fueling the brain and body with energy.

  • Coconut oil is rich in MCTs that are quickly utilized for energy in the muscles and brain. One such MCT called lauric acid is antimicrobial, helping the immune system fight pathogens.

  • Macadamia nut oil contains the highest amount of monounsaturated fatty acids of any oil 12. Diets rich in macadamia oil have been shown to reduce LDL cholesterol and promote cardio-vascular health.

  • High-oleic sunflower oil in Ample contains over 85% monounsaturated fatty acids and less than 7% polyunsaturated omega-6s, which is useful for maintaining healthy HDL and triglyceride levels.

  • Sunflower lecithin is a phospholipid containing an abundance of choline, which is necessary for creating the neuro-transmitter acetylcholine involved in learning and memory.15

Our high-quality protein blend provides all essential amino acids, along with branch-chain amino acids (BCAAs) for balanced nutrition and lasting energy.

  • Pea protein is a superior plant-based protein high in most amino acids that has been shown to aid in muscle recovery just as much as whey protein, likely because of the high L-arginine content.

  • Rice protein is high in cysteine and methionine and low in lysine, which is the opposite of pea protein. When combined, the two provide the full complement of all essential amino acids for your diet.

With only four grams of sugar per 400-calorie meal, our blend of clean carbs, fiber, and prebiotics keeps you feeling full and works in synergy with our probiotics for a healthier gut microbiome.

  • Acacia fiber is a soluble fiber shown to help lower cholesterol, keep blood sugar in check, promote healthy digestion, and protect against diabetes.

  • Organic guar gum has been shown to naturally increase fullness and reduce appetite by delaying the transit time of food through the colon, and stimulating satiety hormone CCK.

  • Whole grain oats are gluten-free, rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber, and also feeds good gut bacteria. This helps maintain your gut integrity and keeps you feeling full for longer.

Organic greens & fruit

Our blend of nutrient-dense, organic greens and fruit provides a natural source of antioxidants and polyphenols for fighting free radicals.

  • Wheat grass contains a full spectrum of nutrients and has high antioxidant capacity to control inflammation

  • Barley grass is high in micronutrients (especially manganese and phosphorus) and plays a role in controlling inflammation.

  • Lemon is rich in vitamins, minerals and polyphenols that have been shown to fight weight gain by increasing beta-oxidation of fat cells in mice.

  • Kale contains vitamins A, C, E, and K, folate, and minerals as well as antioxidants, crucial for preventing damage from free radicals.

  • Raspberries are rich in vitamin C, riboflavin, folate, magnesium, manganese, niacin, potassium, and copper. Additionally, they have one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any fruit.

  • Carrots are a good source of beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A in the body. Some evidence also suggests highly colored fruits, because of their antioxidant capacity, can aid in promoting a healthy heart.

With six potent Bacillus, Lactobacillus, and Bifidobacterium strains, Ample contains more than 4 billion CFUs to support a healthy gut microbiome— more than 4x the probiotics of yogurt.

  • L. ACIDOPHILUS: is often used to treat lactose intolerance, Crohn’s Disease and general gut dysbiosis 46.

  • L. PARACASEI: has been shown to help regulate our immune system (it’s one of the probiotic strains used in the therapeutic treatment of ulcerative colitis). 52,53

  • B. LACTIS: aids in the digestion of lactose and is critical for creating B vitamins.

  • B. INFANTIS: contains enzymes that help break down the indigestible material, oligosaccharides, found in most plant foods.

  • L. RHAMNOSUS: aids in the digestion of lactose as well as folate and vitamin B12 production. 48

  • B. COAGULANS: have been shown to improve digestive tract health, specifically aiding those with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). 44

Targeted electrolytes and micronutrients

A ketogenic diet can make it difficult to maintain the right balance of critical electrolytes, leading to fatigue and other symptoms. Ample K supplements these key electrolytes.

  • Magnesium is anti-inflammatory 11 and a fundamental part of brain function, including learning, memory, and sleep 12,13. 68% of Americans are magnesium-deficient 14.

  • Potassium is an electrolyte essential to hydration and brain function 19 that’s especially critical for avoiding the “keto flu” in the early stages of ketosis. 98% of americans are potassium-deficient!16

  • Calcium is the most abundant mineral in your body. It’s essential for strong bones and teeth, although it needs vitamin D to work properly (one reason we’ve included both) 15.

  • Vitamin D3 strengthens your bones, remineralizes your teeth, serves as a building block for all sex hormones (testosterone, estrogen, etc.), and is needed to turn on over a thousand genes 10.

A Healthy Meal for Modern Life:

Let’s be real. As important as your diet is, you probably don’t want to spend half your time, money and energy sorting through conflicting blogs and podcasts, and meal prepping.

But lacking the energy, physique, and well-being to craft your life the way you want it won’t fly either.

Hitting your health goals can be logistically difficult, complicated, and emotional.

We made Ample to take the load off, so you get back to living your life. But we also made Ample as a resource to help the rest of your diet.

It’s important to find a trustworthy partner who won’t just sell you snake oil in a bottle, but who can help you truly navigate attaining the health you deserve to create your ideal life.

I started Ample because my friends struggled simplifying this. And as a busy business owner, I also spend 99% of my day not thinking about diet.

What’s the right macronutrient ratio for your best physique? How should you workout to support your energy?

Or understanding the pareto principle regarding food—which 20% of the efforts required to be healthy reap 80% of the benefits— in order to stop caring about things that don’t matter, so you can save your precious mental bandwidth on stuff that really matter.

Whether or not you decide to try Ample, and regardless of your evolving life circumstances and health goals, we’re here to help.
